Dry, flaky skin is a common complaint this time of year. The air in our heated homes is often so dehydrating on our skin cells. In my home, where I apply my makeup, I can tell instantly when the furnace turns on. My skin shrinks up and freaks out! Sometimes I feel my face doesn’t produce a single drop of oil. That may sound like a dream come true for those of you with oily skin, but it’s not as great as it sounds. I understand when you tell me you have dry skin!
There is a very fine, thin film on our skin called the “acid mantle”. It is a slightly acidic layer made of oil (sebum), and water (perspiration). In winter time, we do not perspire as much, and our bodies also produce less sebum. Couple that with the dehydrated air, and we’ve got a problem!
It’s important to keep that “acid mantle” in tact during the winter months. I’ve made a video describing a sample Pure Anada skincare routine for dry skin in the EVENING. I feel it is so important to treat your skin well in the evening. This way, your skin care repair itself at night. You will have better success with the appearance of your skin the next day, if you take care of it in the evening.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend!
