Choosing Colors
The best way to choose color cosmetics is to visit a Pure Anada retailer. Seeing the shades on a computer monitor or print catalog can be deceiving. Plus, colors can look very different on various skin tones. What looks good on one person, may not look so good on another.
When it comes to choosing a shade of foundation, attempt to match the color to your jaw line.
If you see warm (soft yellow) tones in your pigmentation, then select a shade from our “Warm” or “Golden” tones.
If you see cool (soft pink) tones in your pigmentation, try a shade in our “Neutral” or “Cool” range.
* It may help to know that most Caucasian women fall into our “Neutral” range.
CHEEK & EYE COLOR
There are several factors that contribute to the eye & cheek colors that look best on you; hair color, eye color, underlying skin pigmentation and personality!
Most skin tones can be classified as WARM or COOL. Wearing the colors in your SEASON will best flatter your skin tone.
ADVICE
Lorene (to the left) is a professional color analyst. She says,
“When trying colors, watch what happens to your face.
The color should be supplemental and your face should take
the foreground (should leap forward). It will complement
(harmonize with) your skin tone and will light you up!
A wrong color will become dominant and overpower your face.
It will contrast and thus not harmonize with your skin tone.
Another technique you can use is by contrasting opposite
seasonal colors, like black (cool) and brown (warm), pink (cool)
and peach (warm), white (cool) and ivory (warm).
Have fun experimenting! You will come alive with color!”
What “season” are you?
