Mother Daughter Makeup

Just in time for Mother’s Day this Sunday! Kristen Von Riesen (our professional makeup artist) designed these two beautiful looks for a local mother/daughter duo (Irma and Marissa). It’s a perfect example of how Pure Anada can be used on all generations. Enjoy watching the transformation.

Mother Daughter Springtime Color Story

Has spring arrived in your town?  Well, it sure is taking a long time to arrive in Manitoba this year!  A couple of weeks ago we had to make-believe that there was a warm breeze and blossoms on the trees for our spring photo shoot.  Thankfully, our mother-daughter duo were terrific actors, who managed to look fresh and natural in spite of being very cold! Thanks Irma and Marissa!

To start the day, Kristen Von Riesen came down from Niverville with her train case filled with Pure Anada makeup. Kristen’s business is called Inside Out Makeup Artistry. She designed the look for this Mother/Daughter color story, and I think she did a beautiful job!

Miranda and Irma are accessorized with  a shawl and infinity scarf from emk clothing in Winnipeg, MB. You can purchase Erin’s creations from her Etsy Store.  Thanks Erin!  The reversible shawls are really unique.  I get compliments every time I wear one!

Also thanks to Janet Haslam Photography for the beautiful photos, and making our photo shoots so much fun!

Our local models were a very pretty pair! Their first stop was Shear Bliss Salon and Day Spa in Morden. Kim styled Marissa’s hair with a free-flowing side braid, and Erin gave Irma’s hair short hair a textured, side-swept  style.  Thanks ladies for the beautiful do’s!

Graduation Makeup

Just like the type of dress she chooses, makeup for a graduate should reflect her own personal style. If she normally wears a lot of makeup; bright colors and bold liners, then it would make sense she would want to do that for her grad day as well. On the other hand, if the graduate doesn’t normally wear a lot of makeup, then it is best to use natural colors, soft powdered liner, and nude lip gloss.

Alysha (in the video below) is working at the Pure Anada workshop this summer. She just graduated from high school! She wanted her makeup to look natural, but didn’t mind adding a bit of color for her special day. Her dress was a gorgeous shade of blue, so we made use of that fact and incorporated that color in her eyes.

Take a look at the video tutorial below!
A special thanks to Janet Haslam Photography for the use of the professional photos. Enjoy!

Pure Anada Glamour for Ladies of Color

It has always been important to me, that we create a line of makeup for EVERY woman.  I want ALL ladies to have the option of using a pure line of cosmetics.
Last Friday, Margaret and her two daughters came down to my photographer’s studio (Janet Haslam Photography), for a photo shoot.  It was a lot of fun!  Janet always makes a regular person feel like a super-model.  You may not know it…but there’s a superstar in all of us!  LOL
It’s important to me to use ordinary people in my photo shoots.  I love showcasing how Pure Anada looks on all women.  Everyone is wonderfully created.
Don’t these ladies look beautiful? In the next couple of weeks, I will feature each of them in a “Get the Look” blog post.  I love how mineral colors “pop” on black skin.  Certain shades that would make us white chics look like clowns, look amazing on deep skin.  Love it!
Have a fabulous day,
Candace
