It's taken me a few tries to work out the best way to ensure this foundatiin lasts all day - use the priming serum, apply foundation with a brush, seal with translucent powder. Where I live we commonly have days of 30 degrees celcius with 90% humidity and makeup tends to just slide away and melt off your face. This foundation makes my skin look brighter, smoother and most importantly - it's from a company that doesn't test on animals. Also a big plus for me is the packaging - I HATE when foundation comss in glass bottles and no matter what you can't get up to 25% of the product. This packaging allows every drop to be used. I'm a big fan of both this product and Pure Anada for their ethics in makeup manufacturing.

  • Too dark for me

I ordered a bunch of samples, including this foundation in both Porcelain (cool) and Very Fair (cool). Upon initial application, this is about one shade too dark, and it oxidized an additional shade darker. I had hopes as it was described as being a white foundation for the fairest of skintones. I am extremely pale, right now I look as though I've put tanner on my face which is not a good look for me. Putting it next to shades that actually match my skin, this just looks orange. So that was disappointing. As for the actual formula, I appreciate very much that it's fragrance-free as I have sensitive skin as well as sensitive lungs. Some parts look good and applied well, but others look very strange and appear to disagree with the product applied underneath (which is weird, as I only used Pure Anada products). It's like it's breaking apart. It would probably sit better with a different base, but I just can't wear this due to the colour. Glad I had a sample.

  • Seems more like a tinted moisturizer

I would give this a 5 based on being non irritating to my skin. I have developed bad makeup allergies and my eyes swell, get really inflamed and burn like fire. I have to use cortisone ON my eyes and steroid eye drops in my eyes, alternated w/Alaway allergy drops. So for that issue this is great and I have no reaction. No itching face, no swollen eyes. However if you are trying to cover redness, freckles, or sun damage its not great. I also have to keep blotting with oil sheets. Seems extra shiny but when you read the natural oils for ingredients you'll see why. I guess I'll just have to pick my battles. I ordered many samples for my first time trying. I really appreciate that option.

I love that I could order samples to determine the colour that suits my own skin tone. This one is definitely the right one and on top of that, I love the way it spreads over my face and how it feels. I will be ordering some of this when my current product runs out!

  • Great Foundation... Takes Some Practice

I have fair neutral leaning cool skin. This color is a very close match. Because the coverage is heavy, and it actually covers my redness, it makes me look pale and overly made up if I'm not careful. It also accentuates dryness out of the tube. Mixed with the Green Tea moisturizer, this is lovely. I use the mix to even my skintone without getting coverage in places I don't need. I then use small amounts where I actually need coverage. the result is lovely, natural and matte. Best of all, it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or make me break out. I'm pretty impressed.

I think I finally got the hang of this. You have to use your hands and really rub it in. You can use a wet beauty blender too, to thin it out. Can accentuate dryness, but if you're good and moisturized it should be fine. I love that it doesn't make my face itch like everything else out there, and I love the squeeze tube too. I switch off between this and the tinted moisturizer, I might try mixing them too, so see how that goes.

  • Too Drying for me...

I really wanted to love this product and was so eager to use it BUT, its far too drying for my sensitive skin.
I've NEVER had a product yield the sad results this did on my face...

Pure Boutique Response - Arctic Alabaster is a porcelain shade of foundation. If your skin isn't actually this white, it can appear very cakey, and drying. We would love to send you another product or colour to sample. Please email us with your contact info, since you didn't leave your name here with this review. We would love to help!
