It matches and is such great coverage but doesn't leave it feeling heavy.

  • Perfect colour!

This foundation is the perfect colour for my pale skin with pink understones! It has nice coverage and blends well with blush over it. I bought the sample size but hope to buy the full size in the future! Thanks for making an affordable natural foundation here in Canada!

  • Finally found a foundation that matches my skin and doesn't make me look like a carrot!!!

This product is awesome. Only requires a little and I can mix it into my cream to make it like a tinted moisturizer. I do not know if it will match my skin in the summer, it would be nice to also have this cool foundation in one shade darker!

  • Nice Coverage.

I actually really like the way this product applies and covers. Unfortunately, my skin is very sensitive to coconut oil, so I cannot use it. If coconut oil does not cause you to break out, it is an amazing foundation.

  • Awesome coverage, Canadian made

This foundation beats my old one (the Sephora brand) by far in staying power, texture and skin tone match. Will be hooked on it for a long time!

  • Awesome.

My skin is sensitive, dry, and prone to redness. It's such a relief to find a well-priced, perfect shade match that doesn't dry out or irritate my skin. Blends very well with a brush, and has what I would call a medium coverage which can be built to full by applying more.
Love this stuff. Can't beat the price and the team is just lovely to deal with. Thank you!

  • Love it!

I wanted to love these liquid foundations. I love what this brand is doing, I love the skintone variety, and I love having so many silicone-free cosmetics options. My liquid foundation samples looked (and felt) like they'd give creamy, nurturing full coverage when I put the initial daubs on my cheeks. But then I started spreading and blending--or trying to spread and blend. I simply could not get the color to blend smoothly, non-streakily on my skin. And when I worked longer than, say, 30 seconds, the foundation started rolling and pilling. I had to brush little clumps off my face. Yikes. The color also tended to settle into pores and grab onto the bases of my tiny facial hair follicles. I had slightly better blending luck with a foundation brush, but still, if I worked a little too long, I started getting that pilling effect. (And I really prefer to apply liquid foundations with my fingers.) I've tried three shades now, 2-3 times each, on bare skin and moisturized skin. No joy.

Fortunately I've really liked the tinted foundation and mineral powder foundation samples. PRAIRIE ROSE color notes: this was the best match for my summertime rosacea-prone very fair skin. Arctic Alabaster and Northern Light, in this formula, were too pale.

THE PURE BOUTIQUE RESPONSE - Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with this product. Glad to hear the Tinted Moisturizer and Mineral Foundation worked better for your skin type.
I'm not sure what would be causing the piling effect, but it doesn't sound like a good fit for your skin.
The difficulty in blending (without a brush) is because the formula does not contain silicone AND is full coverage. The high percentage of minerals (to achieve full coverage) makes it slightly drier than let's say, our Tinted Moisturizer (which is more sheer).
I'm glad you were able to try a sample before purchasing full size.
