At Pure Anada, we offer two types of nail polish—GLAMOUR and PRINCESS—each designed with a more mindful approach to ingredients and performance.
An Exception to Our Usual Standards
While nail polish can’t fully align with our natural ingredient philosophy due to the pigments and solvents required for performance, we remain committed to offering the safest options possible. With this product, we step slightly outside our usual standards to provide a cleaner alternative to nail polish commonly found in drugstores and department stores. Full disclosure! Unlike most of our products, our nail polishes are not made in-house. Instead, we partner with specialized manufacturers who focus on creating less toxic alternatives to conventional formulas.
GLAMOUR Nail Polish: High Performance, Less Toxic
Our GLAMOUR Nail Polish is designed to perform like traditional polish: smooth application, vibrant colour, and lasting wear - without many of the harmful chemicals commonly found in conventional brands.
You may have seen terms like “3-free,” “5-free,” or even “20-free” in the nail polish world. While these labels can be confusing (and sometimes more about marketing than meaningful differences), we prefer to keep it simple: our polish is free from the most toxic ingredients typically used.
This includes substances like: Toluene • Benzene • Xylene • Formaldehyde Releasers • Formaldehyde Resin • Phthalates • Cyclic Silicones • Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) • Glycol Ethers • Hydroquinone (HQ) • 4-Methoxyphenol (MEHQ) • Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP) • Nonylphenol Ethoxylates • Tert-Butyl Hydroperoxide • Carcinogenic Mutagenic • Reprotoxic (CMR) Substances • Synthetic Fragrances • Ethyl Tosylamide
How to use: Apply a base coat, followed by two thin coats of colour, and finish with a top coat. Let each layer dry thoroughly. For best results, apply before bed and allow the polish to fully cure overnight. When it’s time to remove, it's necessary to use a traditional nail polish remover.
Note! We used to sell a soy-based polish remover, which was incredible, and we know it is missed by our customers! Unfortunately, the chemist sold the proprietary rights to one brand (undisclosed to us), and we are no longer able to purchase it, nor have we found anything that comes close to this formula.
PRINCESS Nail Polish: A Gentler Option
Our PRINCESS Nail Polish is a water-based formula, making it an even cleaner alternative, perfect for children or anyone looking for the most natural option possible. While it doesn’t last as long as GLAMOUR polish, it’s a favorite among parents and those who prefer a simpler, gentler formula.
How to use: Apply two thin coats, allowing about 60 seconds of drying time between each layer. For longer wear, apply before bedtime so it can cure overnight. Remove with rubbing alcohol or let it wear off naturally.
